I found the lumber for this bookcase at Earthwise Salvage. It was a huge, old growth, beam in a turn of the century warehouse in Seattle. Earthwise salvaged the lumber and milled it into manageable sizes. We sanded, stained and built a custom bookcase for the landing area at the top of the stairs. The staining from the nails adds a nice texture.
